In September 2016, I was looking for a way to keep up an everyday practice after the #100daysofdrawingonphotos project wrapped up. I also wanted to use some of the model paints and watercolors I’d inherited from my dad, so I decided to do a month of #tinydragonpaintings – he’d given me a bunch of fantasy books when I was a kid, so it seemed like a fitting subject.
I’ve gathered together some of my favorites from the project since by now they’ve moved down in my instagram feed (@thereul@thereul@thereul). I also wrote a post about the process for the Writer’s Rumpus blog – check it out here: “Drawing-A-Day“.
