I’m best-known for my picture book illustration and writing, but I also like to work on individual illustrations, board books, graphic novels and murals. I try to experiment with materials & techniques during ongoing personal projects (I recently completed my sixth 100-day project!).
I’ve written and illustrated eight books with traditional publishers including Harper, Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and Abrams, with several more on the way.
I am represented by Emily Mitchell of Wernick & Pratt for all children’s book projects.
I’d love to work with publishers on illustration-focused projects – click here to see my full book illustration portfolio.

In my undergrad years, I studied organism-level biology, and I love drawing animals, plants and ecosystems. I’ve illustrated five murals for the Museum of Science in Boston (including one over 16 feet long!) for their Climate Change in New England and New England Forest Animals exhibits.
This year, I’m working on collecting old family photos to draw while experimenting with mixed media. It’s a great excuse to look closely at these fascinating images, and it’s been fun to try out inks, markers, and gouache – especially since much of my past work has been digital.

As a personal project, I completed 200+ drawings on photos over the course of two years and two 100 day projects.
