I’m an illustrator, writer and award-winning 2D animator who likes science, bright colors, tiny things, drawing on photos and figuring out how things work.
After a number of years in science museum education and non-profit administration, I was lured back to school by the magic of making drawings come to life. I earned an MFA in 2D Animation from the Academy of Art University and my thesis film, “The Search for the Monster of Lake Quannapowitt”, won Best Animation for Kids at Animation Block Party 2015. I try to pack all the dynamic energy of animation into each of my illustrations.
I grew up in Brooklyn, but now I live just outside of Boston with my husband, two girls and our dog, Mocha. During my workdays, I spend my time creating new books and visiting schools for author/ illustrator visits.
I’ve also created two murals for the Museum of Science in Boston (one over 16 feet long!) and I’ve participated in #100daysofdrawing on Instagram three times – twice completing #100daysofdrawingonphotos and recently creating 80+ days of #100daysofmakingtinythings.
I’m always interested in hearing about new illustration & animation projects, especially those related to big feelings, science or friendly monsters.
Represented by Emily Mitchell (firstname.lastname@example.org) of Wernick & Pratt Agency for all projects related to the children’s book market.
Thanks for checking out my work!
